Interviews & The Monster Men Review Paranormal Activity 3

And the hits, or in this case, interviews, keep on coming. I did some interviews for a couple of blogs and one magazine that have posted over the past couple of days.

  • Author Paul D. Dail came up with some unique questions that were a blast to answer. You get to find out a little known fact about me and the name of one of my all time favorite books.
  • Super dude, Jonathan Janz, sat down to talk to me about Forest of Shadows, scary books and the Monster Men.
  • For a special treat, Ravenous Montser Magazine interviewed me and fellow Samhain authors, W.D. Gagliani and Brian Moreland. Super in-depth and a must read for any horror fans.

For those of you who haven’t signed up to my Facebook Fan Page, I post a way easy, sometimes fun contest on Saturdays. Signed magazines, gift certificates, shirts and all kinds of goodies are given away every week. Like the page and join in the fun!

Monster Man Jack and I hopped to the theater so we could check out Paranormal Activity on opening weekend. Here’s our quick review in the parking lot. You may be surprised by what we say.

Monster Men Halloween, Campfire Tales & More Ghoulish Fun

Another crazy week, but lots of good stuff to share. Aside from promoting Forest of Shadows like a door to door Bible salesman, I have been busy actually writing. I finished the first draft of a story for an anthology with Toys in the Attic as the theme. Going to start working on a couple of flash fiction pieces for another antho. Aaaaand, I’m ready to start the finishing touches on my first horror novel for kids. Ah, so many young minds to corrupt.

First up, I was interviewed on Jim Harold’s Campfire Tales podcast. It will be part of episode 87 where I talk about the phantom boy who may have come around to heal my ailing wife.

Next is an interview awesome author Brian Moreland did with me on his great blog. While you’re at it, check out his book, Dead of Winter. Great, spooky reading.

And now for the fun stuff. The Monster Men Halloween episode is here! We talk about our ghosts from Halloweens past (specifically my embarrassing little drummer boy costume), and give you tips on what to read, watch and do to make the season the best ever. So, without further ado, I give you The Monster Men. And why the bucket hat, Hunter? It’s to honor the character Dale from The Walking Dead. New season starts tonight, so get to your TV as soon as you’re done watching The Monster Men!  And then come back and like our brand spanking new Facebook fan page.

New Monster Men And Latest Updates

Wow, it has been one crazy week. Forest of Shadows is finally available and I’ve been writing articles and interviews like mad. I figured it was time to get my cowboy gear on and do a quick roundup to get you all up to speed.

My short story, Bottom of the Ninth, just came out in the final issue of Ethereal Tales (issue #12…I know, 13 would have been more fitting).

Had a blast doing a Q&A with fellow author Frazer Lee.

An article on why I write about ghosts and a sneak peek of my book just posted on W.D. Gagliani’s blog.

You can listen to my radio interview on Artist First Radio’s archive. It’s listed alphabetically.

And last but certainly far from least, a new Monster Men podcast is here. Jack and I filmed about a five new episodes recently and will post a new one every week this month. This episode, we talk about my book as well as my night at a haunted well in NYC’s Manhattan Bistro. The well under the restaurant isn’t open to the public, so it was amazing getting a chance to see it. Watch the episode to see the pics I took.

Monster Men Episode 5 : The Monsters That Made Us

Jack and I discuss the television shows that warped our minds and made us complete horror/monster addicts. What shows did you watch as a kid that influenced you?

Monster Men Podcast – Episode 4 – The Queen Mary Can Be Scary

Jack gets me to talk about my one night stay on the Queen Mary earlier this year. Wonderful old ship, fun ghost tour and an experience I’ll keep with me for a long, long time. And yes, my straw hat makes another appearance.

Monster Men Podcast #3 – The Decaying State of Zombies

OK, I ditched the straw hat and Jack and I got down to business talking about our favorite subject : zombies. George Romero completely rewired our brains and we’ve never recovered. So, grab a shotgun, find a safe haven (preferrably in an abandoned mall) and enjoy.

Monster Men Podcast : Paranormal TV

From the stygian depths of two minds addicted to all things dark and scary. This time around, we talk about the state of paranormal television and wrap things up with my own encounter with a ghost in a hotel room in Spain.

I hope you like my hat. I’ll sign that wonderful straw hat and mail it to a random commenter, so all you need to do is tell us what you think and you too can look like an escapee from a country fair! As you can tell from this still, even my partner Jack is having a hard time looking at it.

Monster Men Podcast Debut!

I’ve recently partnered with fellow horror maven, Jack Campisi, to do a series of podcasts we like to call Monster Men. In each podcast, we’ll focus on a particular topic, from the state of zombies to paranormal TV, book and movie reviews and the latest horror news. Our first episode is Vampires Kinda Suck. We hope you agree…
