      Hello Mr. Shea. I just read The Montauk Monster and I really enjoyed it. I just have one question. On page 271, Captain Hammerlich has his arm caught in the mouth of one of the war machines. Yet on page 290, Gray Dalton, who saw Captain Hammerlich attacked by the monster, says “at least he wasn’t bitten”. Which was it? Thanks. Hallam

    I’m off work after having knee surgery last week and just read The Montauk Monster. I just want to say “Loved it!!” Cryptozoology is a fascinating field and Loren Coleman is a leader in the field. I’m looking forward to your next book and will definitely check out the previous ones.

    First I just want to say that I love your books, even if so far I’ve only read 2 of them which are The Montauk Monster ( which was the first book of yours that I read , and I loved it ,couldn’t put it down when I started it at all) and the 2nd one was The Graveyard Speaks which I have as a free nook book, just like the first one I couldn’t put it down but I have to say that I loved The Montauk Monster the best of the two, I even got a copy of your new one Tortures of the Damned off of NetGalley to see how I would like it, anyway keep up the good work and I’ll be getten more of your books

    Hello Mr. Hunter, I lucked out and found your book at a Thrift store. Why ever people give away books is beyond me. * ignores stacks of boxes filled with books teetering in the background* Anyways, I found your Tortures of the Damned and was excited, thinking it was a zombie book…I’m a lover of zombies lol. BUT I love your book! I finished it in 4-5 days, longer then usual, but I blame that on the Halloween holiday and work > >. So I am wondering thought, is there a sequel? It ended like it did. I’ll have to read your other books, your now up there with Dean Koontz, John Saul, Steven King and Christine Feehan… lol… I’ll just shut up now lol.

What’s the mechanism that allows this type of horror to be brought into our worlds?

    Sequel-Sequel-Sequel to Montauk Monsters. So many different directions this could go on to. On the run without cash or credit cards ( can’t use them),woman with a bad leg, child in deep trauma or the tainted olive branch of “come work for us”. Face it the Army”s job was to get rid of the witnesses. Seem like they missed at least 3 of them. What about the rest. I heard one made it to the middle of the Mid-Town tunnel and all they found was an empty car. So much to work with. Out of the Monster game and into the conspiracy genre. I’m salivating over the possibilities.
    P.S. They use Humvee’s not jeeps today. I’m retired military. Excellent book, excellent. I’ve been reading stuff like this for 54 years and I still love it.

      Thank you so much! I look a the blog as all horror, all the time. 🙂 I don’t think there will be a sequel to Tortures, but you never know. And it’s funny you mentioned commissioning me to write it. I was just talking to another author about doing that kind of service the other day.

      Hi Larry. Tortures is a standalone novel. The children who survived at the very end, ultimately would be swallowed up by a world gone completely mad. I didn’t think anyone wanted to read their sad demise.

    Just wanted to tell you you’re my favorite author ever, I love reading your books although I just started them I’ve already read the Montauk monster and the jersey devil and am currently reading loch ness revenge. I found the Montauk monster at a dollar general close to my house and purchased it and now constantly find myself looking for any more of your treasures at all dollar generals I visit to no avail but I’m glad I found the one to springboard me into your awesome books! Just wanted to tell you THANKYOU for your awesome writing! PS. I’m a Mets fan too and a Jets fan (despite living in South Texas about 15minutes away from Mexico to be exact) I also love how you incorporate tvland and the king of queens mention in the books I’ve read thus far, I watch reruns all the time so I was like thats awesome!
